The American Academy Of Medical-Legal Professionals is a national medical-legal association approved under the New York State Department of Education and registered by the New York State Board of Regents. It has developed a collaborative effort between medical and legal professionals in an ethical relationship. The purpose is to support on a national level, through research, dialogue and clinical excellence those that work in the medical and legal area. Impairment Rating Certification. The understanding and utilization of the protocols and parameters of the AMA Guide to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 6th Edition. Spine, neurological sequela, migraine, sexual dysfunction, sleep and arousal disorders, station and gait disorders and consciousness are detailed for impariment rating. Herniated discs, radiculopathy, fractures, dislocations and functional loss are also detailed in relation to impairment ratings. Dr. Door is a second generation Chiropractor, born in Iowa, raised on Puyallup's South Hill and is a graduate from Rogers High School. Dr. Door is a 1991 graduate from the prestigous Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in Santa Clara, California. He has been in private practice for over 30 years and specializes in treating and caring for the injured.
Dr. Door is an accomplished writer and in 2007 had his first book published; Whiplash: Trauma & Treatment, A Comprehensive Guide to Understanding Your Whiplash Injury. He is a frequent guest speaker to many of the local schools, colleges and civic groups in the greater Puget Sound area. Dr. Door continues to give back to his community by having annual toy drives for the Saint Francis House, food drives for Puyallup Food Bank, coat, hat and glove drives for the local Salvation Army, volunteers at his childrens school, the Puyallup Activity Center, and the Puyallup Daffodil Community Float.
Dr. Door is married to his wife of 26 years, Julie, and they have two children, Brianna, age 23 and T. J. age 21. He enjoys classic cars, University of Washington Huskies and Seattle Seahawk football, Seattle Mariners baseball, and travelling. Dr. Door and his family reside in Puyallup.
